On March 19, 2014 a traffic top initiated by agents with the Clay County Sheriff Department, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the West Point Police Department resulted in the arrest of three West Point individuals: Tevin Nance, age 22, Anthony Bean, age 23 and Brian Bowens, age 22. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated agents recovered approximately 1 lb. of marijuana along with liquid codeine. All three individuals were arraigned on March 20^th at the Clay County Justice Court. Bond has been set for Brian Bowens at $151,008.00, Tevin Nance’s bond $100,000.00 and Anthony Bean’s bond was $150,000.00. Nance and Bowens are currently incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center. Preliminary hearing will be held on April 17, 2014 at the Clay County Justice Court. Scott stated the continued cooperation between the agencies continue to remove large amounts of illegal narcotics off the streets.
