Amonty Young

Amonty Young, age 35 of West Point has been charged with 1 ct. of Attempted Murder and 2 cts. of Kidnapping. Sheriff Eddie Scott stated the incident occurred on Thursday, January, 27th in the Tibbee Community. Young allegedly stabbed one of the victims and physically assaulted an elderly female. Both victims were taken to Baptist Memorial - Columbus and was last reported in good condition. Young was arraigned in Clay County Justice Court and bond was set at $400,000.00 total for all 3 charges. He remains incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center.
