Franklin Young

On May 14th the Clay County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a shots fired call on Walker Gin Road in western Clay County. Clay County Sheriff's Office Investigators discovered 2 bullets had been fired into the home and 1 bullet in a vehicle that was parked at the residence. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated Franklin Young, age 35 of Starkville was taken into custody in Oktibbeha County by the Mississippi Department of Corrections and transported Young to the Clay County Detention Center. Scott said 5 individuals were at the residence but were not injured at the time of the shooting.  Young has been charged with Shooting into a Dwelling and Aggravated Assault and remains incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center with a $50,000.00 bond and a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
